Skyholder

Skyholder 5 Table 2006 - Marvin Bartel

This stoneware table is 16 inches high, 42 inches in diameter, has a glass top, walnut knees and hands, and casters to allow it move easily. In 2006, it was part of the 28th Juried Regional Exhibit, Midwest Museum of American Art, Elkhart, Indiana. Contact me if you would like to purchase it. It is photographed on a locally grown hickory floor in our dining room. The flowers are in vases that contain water.

at the Visual Arts in Education Conference at IUSB. Sponsored by the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts, Indiana University South Bend, South Bend, Indiana, USA.
There is no fee, but registration is required. See registration information.

April 9, 2009, 4:30 to 6 pm

NCECA, Phoenix, Arizona
Bartel will lead a topical discussion group on the topic of: "Firing with flue heated combustion air." Bartel has designed, constructed, and fired all his stuff (since 1975) in energy efficient gas kilns that preheat combustion air up 2000 degrees F by harvesting waste heat from flue gases.
